We had a wonderful start to September in Madeira celebrating a special birthday and our silver wedding anniversary.
A busy month has followed; meeting new people, working with existing clients and ever-developing as a business.
This month we had another productive day ahead for delegates of the In Professional Development (InPD) mini MBA program. This month, I have achieved In Professional Development (InPD)'s September Tutor of the Month, an achievement I am incredibly honoured to have made. I'm continually grateful for the invaluable support provided by the dedicated administration team in ensuring the success of these sessions.
I've had the continued pleasure of working with the West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts System Leaders Programme. We reflected on system leadership, and executive coaching for all delegates, offering a space for these leaders to talk openly in a confidential space. As an executive coach, the movement towards to understanding meaningful leadership amongst senior leads is heartening, and shows not only a growing awareness for, but also a growing appetite for system leadership.
As mentioned in previous updates, I returned to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) , engaging in discussions about leadership roles, critical reflection and impact. A new cohort began this month, which in turn, introducing new conversations, insights and differing perspectives. In a role like mine, there's nothing I welcome more than this, as it reinforces and encourages diversity in opinion within the work place. This is healthy within organisations as it allows delegates to discover, challenge and consider their own approaches.
Another endeavour of September was a week spent with South East Digital Skills Development Network , facilitating an introduction to emotional intelligence, something I'm passionate about in both my work and personal life. The art of emotional intelligence changes the dynamic of a work space, offering a foundation of support, healthy communication and a professional, human approach to work. It was very insightful aiding delegates in identifying and managing emotions in differing circumstances. Thank you to Lois Cavallaro Little and Holly for the help setting this up - they are an incredible team.
In a year of change, I have also experienced the requirement to adapt, re-think and change myself and the content I provide. This is a key aspect for me. We state on our website that we provide contemporary content and that is what we do. We commit to updating content so all our delegates receive quality and we are proud to do this so.
As a November baby, Autumn is my favourite time of year, as controversial as that may be. I always feel a sense of renewal and excitement this time of year, both professionally and personally. I am looking forward to the Autumn, specifically working with a new client, NHS North East Leadership Academy (NELA) developing and facilitating their new Aspiring Directors Programme. We will also be travelling Canada in this coming month, which is another exciting adventure this autumn.
We are wishing everyone the very best for October, and please do get in touch for an informal chat.
