As we begin 2025, both reflections of the past year, and revelations of the year to come produce a balanced and insightful round up for January.

First, we look North to Scotland and the culmination of Executive development, with the highly engaging team at James Jones with In Professional Development.

Through the lens of executive development we consider horizonal viewpoints, looking to the future and challenging our current thinking, whilst searching for ways to constantly improve.

As a small business, we pride ourselves on our use and application of contemporary thinking, therefore seek the opportunity to maintain this across our work.  This was evident with another trip North to complete the NHS North East Leadership Academy Aspiring Directors programme.  Held in beautiful Durham, this programme looks to ensure delegates are prepared and working towards being a director.  The cohort have engaged in 4 face to face sessions, group coaching and mentoring from their sponsor.

I will personally miss the group - their complex challenges and insightful discussions offered the group, as well as myself, valuable food for thought to take forward.  The value of perception is often overlooked, but shines through within these sessions, offering virtue to the cohort and myself alike, producing an invaluable, reciprocally brilliant workplace.  We wish them well in their journey onwards.  These moments of learning coming to an end are easily acknowledged as times of conclusion, but upon reflection, are seeds of change and growth for these individuals.  Whilst I often don't know their path from then on, I recognise the brilliance of beginnings.

In the spirit of planting seeds, as one programme ends, another begins.  I'm filled with gratitude to be back with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), as two new cohorts begin, alongside a new workshop preparing their people for interactive and engaging performance review development.

Not only do my journeys up and down the country offer me the opportunity to meet incredible individuals; they offer me the time to deeply reflect on future development and emerging trends.  Following this, we are delighted to also be launching our very own 'Women in leadership' programmes, commencing with 'Women as system leaders', on the 26 and 27 March, followed by 29 and 30 April.  To ensure participants gain an enriching, well-rounded experience, executive coaching will be included.

We are delighted that Helen Davis will be facilitating the sessions.  With Helen's vast experience of leadership and executive board positions, the programme looks to be insightful and engaging.

As ever, if you are interested in any of our programmes including the new Women in Leadership sessions, please do get in touch.

All the best for now.
