Do what you love, I am!
June was an incredibly busy month, meeting new people, continuing to work with existing clients and scoping new opportunities.
Menfulness
The highlight of the month for me, was the decision to give back to the local community, by sponsoring Menfulness - an inclusive, social community for men. We're delighted to sponsor Menfulness on their continued journey to highlight men's mental health, performing great work in and amongst the York community. This is an important and local charity that performs great work. As a small business ourselves, we admire the diligence, care and purpose of Menfulness and look forward to continually supporting them.
Thames Valley Police
Alongside Gillian Ormston (MSc) (CMgr FCMI), we kickstarted some great work with Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, with the first module of their Leadership Programme. I'm absolutely loving working alongside this team - an engaging group with fascinating insights to offer. Gillian is a really incredible leader, who I personally have gained a lot from through working so closely alongside her.
Hull University Business School
Throughout June, we continued our MBA Global executive coaching for Hull University Business School with the support of the talented Helen Davis and Joy Dodson. Coaching students from Dubai, The Netherlands, Nigeria and Hull - a really enriching experience for me personally. Finding out about different cultures, and working practices is as beneficial to me as I hope the coaching session is to them.
Rotherham Hospice
I visited Rotherham Hospice, a truly wonderful place. From the moment of walking in the doors, you can immediately sense the love and dedication the staff have for their jobs, making it an incredibly warm welcome, as is customary for the people of South Yorkshire . Having worked with Jayne Lowe, Mat Cottle-Shaw, and all of the dedicated staff prior to this visit, I was reminded what a continuing pleasure it is. They've acquired a beautiful new room, for their people to relax and reflect. I found the space for reflection really thought-evoking, and its versatility genuinely inspirational. I am ever-inspired by Rotherham Hospice's ability to care for their patients, families and friends - this organisation is the depiction of quality care - people who really go above and beyond in their line of duty.
Miad Healthcare
I went back to my roots with the NHS, working with Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust with Miad Healthcare for a brilliant day, made by an engaging insightful and hilarious group; an absolute pleasure to work with - I hope the feelings mutual! My day at Miad Healthcare accentuated the sweet spot of my job, hosting training for leading and managing teams.
Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
Lucy Storey and Zoe Nicholl, and the incredible people on the front line supported me in a brilliant day at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust with McMillan and Associates Ltd, working amongst nursing and ward managers on their leadership journey. Through widening leadership capacity, group engagement skyrocketed, prompting reflections and actions moving forward - for both them, and myself (I'm still learning too, everyday is a school day as they say...).
That's me for this month, I look forward to touching base with everyone next month.
As always, I'm happy for an informal chat, please don't hesitate to give me a ring.
